PLAG1:
A brief overview
Pleomorphic adenoma gene 1 (PLAG1) locus is linked to early-life body weight, peripubertal weight, and growth in Bos taurus. PLAG1 polymorphisms can be used to select animals with enhanced weight gain or to aid in the selection of animals with lower mature body weight and thus lower maintenance energy requirements.
